Lucknow/ Noida, March 31, 2016: The Lalitpur Power Generation Co. Ltd. (LPGCL), part of the Bajaj Group, has set up a 3×660 MW Power Plant at Lalitpur in Bundelkhand (UP). It successfully synchronised its third Unit of 660 MW today. The first and second units of 660 MW each were commissioned in September 2015 and January 2016, respectively and have already achieved full load capacity. With successful synchronization of the third Unit of 660MW, all the three Units have been synchronised within one financial year 2015-16, which is a record in itself. The gap between Unit 1 and 2 has been just 3 months, which is a landmark achievement. The third Unit is likely to attain full load within a short period.
This Unit is planned for commissioning shortly, which will result in attaining full capacity generation of 1980 MW at the Lalitpur Power Plant. This will then be the biggest thermal power plant dedicated to Uttar Pradesh.

Bajaj Group commissions the first unit of its 3×660 MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant at District Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. This first unit was inaugurated by Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and former Defence Minister, Government of India, in the special presence of Shri Shivpal Singh Yadav, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Uttar Pradesh, for PWD, Irrigation, Revenue and Co-operative on 20.09.2015 at the Lalitpur Plant.
